Return of the Living Dead is prob-ably the best horror/comedy cross-over film to ever be made (screw you, Wayans Brothers, this is how it’s done right!) With a plot centred around a group of punk-rock kids who accidentally release a virus that cause the dead to rise up and eat the brains of the living, it only makes sense to have a rockin’ soundtrack to go along with it.

This album, though enjoyable, is a lot like the band’s last album Some Are Lakes, and in essence, a lot like its first EP.

That’s right, double-guitar leads, general mid-tempo drumming perfect for banging one’s head and best of all, clean vocals! That’s right; no “Cookie Monster” or demonic possessions here, just straight heroic cries into the sky.
